About Fujitsu

As of yesterday Map Group UK no longer hold any contracts with Virgin Media, All they have now is there Electrition and plumbing contracts etc... Fujitsu siemens took over the rest of thier business yesterday, Everyone got the new Pergout Partners as One Man Crews, Some One Man Crews got a NV200 which is classed as a 1 man / 2 man van and the 2 Man Crews have been given transits all new 11 plate vans, And McNichols who they are paying at the minute will be gone in the next 6 month, As Fujitsu are taking on new techinicians and also bringing back alot of old ones that Map sacked / or who left because of maps poor working conditions. All new employee's will be getting second hand tooling and vans until Fujitsu have employed the person for a minimum of 6 month just to see how they get on in thier new jobs.

There are big big changes happening now Fujitsu have taken over, Thats what they were saying today in the meetings, However you never know with some companies but these guys sound very genuine.

Map still have CCU project with virgin in the North and N Ireland. As for bringing new techs in that cant come soon enough the N west has lost loads to the kellys BT contract with more to go over the coming weeks as the techs are sick of 8/9 jobs a day

Re: About Fujitsu

Having worked for Kelly's as a residential installer in the past I have, still got contact's within the industry and they say that Fujitsu are a breath of fresh air but I have also heard, they can be very difficult to work for with there practices.

I know a few of my old colleagues who refused to work for them and as such have gone to Kelly's to work for BT, and up to now they are saying it's excellent.

But glad I got out when I did as I was sick of the 6:30AM start times and 9-10pm finish times, and the stupid rule of you can't go home once your work was done you had to find out if someone else needed help, which there was nearly always someone needing help.

Not to mention some of the areas and houses I had to work in, they were that bad I would have rather worked in a sewage plant as it would have been cleaner.

Hopefully Fujitsu do well and so do the installers and engineers as it's about time they got a company who actually is decent to be in charge of them.
