what happened here?

Between midnight and 4 am ? Maintenance ? Does this look familiar to previous events for anyone?

also please ignore the total fail that is VM around the Seven Kings UBR as it grinds to a halt every evening.

It's just when I had a TBB monitor set up when it pinged it used to show incoming packets to my computer; so I presumed it pinged a computer rather then the hub

if i remember correctly if its adsl it will ping the computer....but on cable it will ping the hub

i turned off my pc last friday but left the hub on....when i checked the tbb graph later on it showed a steady graph...but as soon as you turn off the hub the red "packets lost" appears on the graph

Re: what happened here?

Major core network issues. Looks the same as I was having a few days ago. I'm seeing the massive, consistent jump across several parts of the nation, different UBRs seem to be getting it at different times.

Either major network work going on or route flapping is my guess.

If you have a router it pings the router. If you don't have a router it pings the computer.

It's exactly the same for both cable and ADSL.
