Can I go back to 50mbit without a superhub?
If I upgrade to 100Mbit, and it turns out to be unreliable, can I demand to go back to 50mbit using my current standalone modem.
If I were to hold on to the modem when the upgrade happens, (there are ways, I'm sure they couldn't get a warrant to search the house) if I need to go back to 50Mbit could I demand that the superhub isn't used and my modem is re-activated?

yes, people have done it. Someone even demanded that they keep the modem, and the engineer offered them to keep the modem on 100mb so the answer is yes

I guess it depends on your tech, worst case I would expect is they would cut you off.
You have 7 days by law to cancel I believe ... I believe .. Not I know ..

Re: Can I go back to 50mbit without a superhub?
I've read about people trying to get 100mbit on the vmng300, has there actually been any official success? i.e. screen shot of config page?
The last time I read about it, the official word was, it can't and won't happen.

Cut me of for having "lost" the modem when I spend nearly £200 a month with VM.
That would be "cutting nose off to spite face" territory...

Re: Can I go back to 50mbit without a superhub?
yes the official line from VM is that its not supported, but if the tech clicks job done on his PDA, the config file is sent to the modem

So coffee/tea and cash injection should see that done...

The only problem I foresee is to get 100mbit on vmng300 I have to alert installer to the fact that I have a vmng300, then if he were to say he won't do it, I then have to say you can't have the modem once you have installed superhub.

the last person on this forum to do it literally said to the tech when he arrived "iv got a modem on 50mb and i want to keep it when you put the superhub in for 100mb so i have the chance to downgrade to 50mb if the superhub causes problems" and apparently the tech said hang on a minute i could just activate 100mb on the modem
but a cup of tea will never go a miss

On a side note your sig says your superhub was rubbish, have you had any improvement?

Do you remember the person that had it done? Was there a screenshot of config, or was it just b/s?

It's against policy, so it's really a lottery if the tech decides to do it

I think it was genuine. ill try and find the post.
Dont be expecting it to happen though, even a VM tech posted on the same thread that he shouldnt have done it, and will probably get his wrist slapped for it

I suppose I will try my luck, see what happens and if the engineer says no, hold onto the vmng300 as I doubt he will wrestle it from me.

Re: Can I go back to 50mbit without a superhub?
I have the 30 on a vmng300, good staff package on the 30
The old vmng300 would go on the techs account so there might be a standoff

Tried greens before, discovered that protein shakes were much more efficient.
I've not worked on that site for ages to be honest, the two sites I focus all my time on the ones that pay the bills. I've PM'd you the links.
