The biggest problem for those who despise Murdoch is how to stop their money reaching him after all buy a Sun Newspaper , watch a twentieth century fox movie at the cinema , subscribe to Sky TV , read certain magazines and your money ends up with Rupe.

Not only that mate uncle Rupe also gets money from virgin media subs(customers ) in the form of carriage agreeents for the sky branded channels and sky sports channels.
I do not despise Rupert Murdoch personally as he is only doing what most buisiness men with power and financial muscle would do,i despise the politicians who suck up to rich powerful vested interests and fail to regulate properly on behalf of the population in general, after all they are the peoples representatives.

Re: Was the Cricket highlights on Channel 5 broadcast in true 720p/1080i HD?
Channel 4 Cricket from '99 - '05 will always be my favourite time to watch live English test-match Cricket on the telly, just the fact alone it was available to more or less the whole country by being broadcast on free-to-air terrestrial television is what made it so special, by the end of the 90's the BBC's coverage of Cricket was getting tired, it didn't appeal to a younger audience as much as CH 4 & the visual quality was terrible, it was like watching an old black & white sports match with just a tiny bit of colour output, Channel 4/Sunset + Vine invented snick-o-meter, hawkeye, split-screen, red zone etc, as well as Simon Hughes as the Analyst giving us a real insight in to a days play.

|
I agree that the poll doesn't have much to do with the actual question I put forth but it still relates to broadcasters (in the UK) who have broadcast live Cricket & who the public felt were the best in showing the great game live, in my opinion that would be Channel 4, I really didn't want to put up a new thread just solely for that poll but maybe I should have & maybe I will?
