Re: Superhub is nowhere near as bad as people say!

I don't doubt that VM will provide an alternative device given the Superhub disaster. What I find incredible is:

1/
The recklessness of VM in launching the superhub onto its trusting customer base. People signed contracts and parted with money for this.

2/
When Igni signed up again with VM, they were dumb enough to provide himn with a superhub. He knew what was coming (wasn't quite the trusting customer as others!) and VM should have known what they'd get back from him.

3/
The pig-headedness of VM in pretending it's all BAU. Fancy not specifying bridge mode in the first place? What kind of people specify this equipment?

True that Ubee don't make the VMNG 300 any more - so VM had to get something else. But to force its customers into a lamely specified device (never mind its flaws) beggars belief. There are so many other proven devices available.

Watching the tease as peops try to get details of the upcoming device should be fun.

Re: Superhub is nowhere near as bad as people say!

Yeah, I'm loving the super hub as well. Router no longer crashes when downloading but that was probably due to the fact that my old router was ****. Wireless range is far better than my old router and looks a lot better as well. The only thing i don't like about it is i don't think you can use your own DNS, for example Google DNS? I couldn't find it anywhere in the control panel to change it.

You have read that the new device is just the Superhub with another manufacturer on board nothing more and shortly we will have modem only mode.

LOL Marque. Nothing more eh? Of course it's another manufacturer and maybe the new device will earn the prefix "Super".

Shortly, eh? Bridge mode should have been in the starting line up, not 6 months later.

There's really nothing for VM to hold its head up high on and jkid itself in any way. It's a current shambles and nothing less.

It could be worse that the current one

(that's got nothing to do with anything I know from VM by the way)

I would just like to remind everyone that calling the superhub by silly childish names is against the t&cs of Cable Forum

Quite. Because what you do know from VM, if you know it, would not lead you to offer what you did! LOL.
