It's taken United 18 years to get the record, that's an achievement in itself.

It is but not unique to this season.

I don't think an achievement should be unique to be recognised that way. Going a season unbeaten can happen to anyone when things are going well. To win the league is impressive, to smash the record is another and is something which should be recognised in the way Arsenal were.

Going a season unbeaten obviously can't happen to anyone or it would happen more often. I think 19 is an odd number to give a gold trophy. Otherwise what happens if Liverpool win the next two? Record beaten again. Maybe give on on the 20th title.

There is nothing to say a team can't go unbeaten in a season. Obviously it takes a lot of skill, effort, the right manager etc - it's rare but it can happen. I'm not playing down the acheivement, it's certainly a big thing but it can happen to any team with the right combination of factors.
If a team wins a trophy and breaks a record that has been standing for almost 20 years, I'd say that's worthy of recognition.

To be clear it's not a huge thing for me - but if one team gets it for acheive a milestone then it's right that another team should get it too for something equally as worthy.

Re: Football Season 2010/2011
have to say I don't remember this gold trophy Arsenal were given. Don't forget the trophy is the property of the league. Are you sure it wasn't one Arsenal had produced to show off in their museum

Martin Stekelenburg does a "Ramos" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqrrzWN8WKQ
This is supposedly one of the keepers United are intrested in signing

It's perfectly ok to swear if it's not directly into a camera, so he's ok

Well done Rangers. Another Championship in the bag and a fitting end to (hopefully!) Sir Walters 2nd stint as manager.
