VMDG480 cannot setup static ip address with Guest Network

using the new virgin super hub,VMDG480
im trying to setup a static ip address using WEP on the virgin hub using the Guest Network for a old device which only supports WEP,,

all other laptops in the house are connected ok through the WPA security settings on the router,,

i have no problems connecting to the router using the (automatically find ip address) setup..it connects no problem
but if i try setting the (static ip address) up it is not connecting
ive been trying this setup but i must be doing something wrong

192.168.1.30 ip address
255.255.255.0 subnet mask
192.168.0.1 gateway
194.168.4.100 prefared dns
194.168.8.100 alt dns

Re: VMDG480 cannot setup static ip address with Guest Network

from the info in your first post, you had the gateway set at 192.168.0.1 this wouldnt point to the hub, so this must be your mistake, if you changed it, you must have clicked the X, or cancel, as only clicking okay saves it
