Disgraceful ORANGE with it call centre tells staff to move to Manilla
http://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/new...save_your_job/
Tells them get on theyre bike if they want to keep theyre job you will get £200 a month a bowl of rice and laundry help.
Absolute disgraceful shows Private sector for what it is at times capitalist grunters.
Glad I dont have this stupid company mobile would ditch them for theyre disgraceful atitude towards its staff.
All these companies interested in excesive profits to pay shareholders and bosses stupid wages/golden handshakes. While shafting british workers by paying criminal wages or moving to some god forbidden country to pay slave labour wages.
There possible many companies who run theyre companies honestly and dont rippoff its staff, customers and still able to pay shareholders. Sadly those like orange give private sector a bad name.
I will no doubt get critised say its theyre decision companies need to make profits etc. Its about time we had government who got bit bottle to sort these bad companies out.

Re: Disgraceful ORANGE with it call centre tells staff to move to Manilla
From the Telegraph
Quote:
A small number of staff are said to have accepted severance packages, while many have taken alternative roles at the company's office in Darlington. Others have been placed on "special leave", receiving basic pay while they considering moving to Manila.
An Everything Everywhere spokesman said: “All our consumer nightshift team, around 40 strong based in Darlington, have been offered alternative roles in the UK and almost all have of them now chosen one of these roles, or taken the severance package they were offered. We are continuing discussions with a very small number of employees who have expressed an interest in the option of transferring to Manila, but they still have an option of a UK role or severance package if they prefer."

Blimey. This is so bad, the phrase 'you couldn't make it up' comes to mind. Then again, some people can apparently...

Re: Disgraceful ORANGE with it call centre tells staff to move to Manilla
Mertle, I take it you only ever buy British just so you can play your full role in keeping UK PLC afloat and paying those wages you seem to think UK workers are divinely entitled to. You're right about companies needing to make profits BTW, it's the profits these companies make and the taxes they (and their workers) contribute to the exchequer which pay for minor things like the NHS.......

Damn piggy capitalists!
Why can't the state own everything, and then pay the wages out of the taxes collected from the employees*, then everything could be free?
(*of course, payroll tax would have to be 100%, and there would be no money left over for goods and materials or running costs, but that would be OK, because we could make everything in this country, and would never need to import anything that we might need to pay for**).
(**I think there might be a flaw in this utopian vision, but what the hell , let's go for it - if it doesn't work, we can let future generations sort it out......)

Yes, and what about those pesky shareholders FGS? You know the ones who stump up the money companies need to run their businesses. How dare they ask for dividends in return for their money and the risk!!!! Then there are all those pension funds who use the dividend payments they receive to pay their scheme members. You know, the millions of ordinary people out there who've made some provision for their old age rather than rely on the state's offerings. How dare they do that!.....
