Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 2

Just had my contract through and the price on it is £17 quid dearer than the sales team told me it would be. So a call to CS ensued, and their system shows the correct price as quoted, so why was the contract different ??? Waiting for a new contract.

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 2

my contract states that l am paying 8.00 more but yet with the tivo it should be only 3.00 more in my mind.
Why the rise of 8.00.

I expect this will be the case for a lot of people. When i spoke to retentions when im contract ran out. The following contract was over priced. Virgin agreed and over the next couple of months it became more accurate.
The annoying part was VM agreed straight away!
So why the inacuracy? I cant help but think they try and pull a fast one.

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 2

6 hours and 3 engineers later I have my Tivo up and running. All I can say is these guys were first class and were determined not to leave until it was up and running.
Far to early to comment on it yet, but you have to be practically in front of the box to get the remote control to work

How soon should your contract update online?

I haven't had a problem with getting my remote to work anywhere in my front room.

l done it online but then l had to phone up and she said my bill would be 103.00 pounds up from 95.00 pounds, l said to her why the rise and she said because you are on a new 12 month contract.
In my mind there should be no change in my contract apart from the tivo 3.00 pound rise.

Same here, much less fussy than my SA V+ was in terms of remote position and remote control button presses are more accurate too.

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 2

Well hats of to the Virgin tech, he was here almost two and half hours, still have a poor signal nut he managed to boost it enough to get Tivo to work. He is going to get a new cable laid as he said that the signal is being split between two boxes and a BB connection and was being split out side to the flat below. He even knocked on their door found out they no longer had Virgin and removed that splitter.

First impression its different, but looks so damn nice.

I can point mine in the opposite direction from my TiVo and it still works, that's behind glass too!

You are not meant to be stood behind the patio doors outside

Just give her the remote ( YES I MEAN LET GO OF THE REMOTE )and let her play with it for a while and she will come round to the ways and means of TIVO

So as SPIDERPLANT has said it may be regional as some others are having the same problem

So for once it seems that I have got something first
