Re: flashing traffic light
The Top Blue light is the Traffic/Throughput light and will flash as per the receive and send lights on an Ambit 256.
The middle light is the Ready light which indicates the modem is online once lit solid.
The bottom light is the wireless light which flashes whenever a wireless device accesses the internet via wifi and is green in 2.4ghz mode or blue in 5ghz mode.

Re: flashing traffic light
It's a very bright LED that lights the whole room up when I'm working in a darkened room. Almost strobe-like. I had to turn the SHUB around to reduce the luminosity.
I wonder if it's bad for epileptics?

Re: flashing traffic light
its all very well using black tape that don't solve the issue of why it is continually flashing.
when it should only flash when data is being sent or received. it even flashes continuous when pc not on and wireless switched off.

Blue light goes off at night and daytime when you dont want it to!!!
It flashes so u cant sleep, then goes off at day time when virgin media can not support the speed they advertise!!!
Great business, NOT!
