Re: Picture Quality
I can heartly agree the PQ on numerous channels has deteriorated IMHO ... even ITV1HD is better on freeviewHD than VM
this seems to have been a trend in recent weeks IMO with both SD and HD picture quality showing signs of loss in quality to the extent some channels are now unwatchable.
Either my setup needs adjustment on VM's side or there are general lowering of quality usually associated with bandwidth being restricted

Re: Picture Quality
Yep, posted this numerous times now, ITV2+1 is always poor now and has been for month's, also getting occasional VOD is currently unavailable due to high demand. I wonder if the two are connected.

Re: Picture Quality
I have noticed the poor picture quality on both V+HD and VHD box over the last 3 days. A lot of pixilation on all channels. Only had an upgrade to VIP50 in the last 3 weeks, so perhaps the extra bandwidth usage is affecting the TV! I live in the Penarth area just outside Cardiff

Re: Picture Quality
Don't think its a channel problem as the channels mentioned appear fine on my Sky+HD box.

Re: Picture Quality
When I have done a search on my Samsung TV (that has a cable tuner built in) to see if any new channels are testing I could be wrong but some transport streams now seem to be carrying more channels than before. Interestingly some others that carry HD channels now seem to only carry 1 channel now and at least one transport stream didn't seem to have any services at all.
Maybe they are having a rejig in anticipation of new channel launches. However I cannot say I have noticed any drastic drop in PQ personally though, however I downgraded to just 'M' TV in the last 10 days so maybe it has occured since then, I have only really been using it for catch up lately.

Re: Picture Quality
i'm going to try my V+ box on another tv before i ring cause they will only ask you to try that, even though i know the tv is fine, i'm also going to set up and record a channel off freeview at the same time recording the same channel from cable just to proove the difference
