I appreciate that a lot of time and energy must be going into the TiVo launch, but surely all the necessary prices and packages could be published, even if it was made clear that they wouldn't come into being for another month or two. At least that way people can decide if they either want, or can afford the package and will know where they stand.
I really feel VM need to pull their finger out on this one and give us the information ASAP!

You start publishing prices and you get people ringing in and being told sorry we are not taking orders but we are letting you know how much it will be when it becomes available, cue very angry customers.

I understand what you are saying Ben, but my point is we all know that TiVo is coming to all at some point so why not release the package details so people know what the options are when the moment comes?

Those usual suspects have a right to make their point as full paying customers , let's not forget VM staff get their services massively discounted which I agree is only fair.

If the above was allowed to happen then people would complain, am I right.

As for the staff package, at least we are allowed a perk for all our efforts and work.

And I agree with your discounts it's called a perk of the job , however people on here are entitled to complain if they are not happy.

No one would be happy if any company stated you can have a new product for Â£xx but you will not be able to order it for 2/3 months anyway.

That is not what the original OP meant, he is talking about a pre release webpage with full details of the cost and launch date which is rather different to that press release.

I realise that, sorry I was being a little mischievous with regards your comment about announcing pricing months in advance. I think that press release and reaction on here backs up your comments

Sorry but I can't agree.
If VM had announced that they were bringing out TIVO say on the 1st. June, with an approximate price of around Â£ 150-200, plus a small additional monthly fee it would have killed all the speculation, and constant bickering about not getting the phone call.

Similarly with the VIP packages - good value at present, but new pricing from the 1st of June..July whatever. Details will be announced by the ......

AV kit (e.g. the IPAD) always is presented in advance, with an available date in the future. I hated the waiting but at least you knew where you were. The date of the IPAD had to be put back due to demand, but Apple announced this well in advance.

It's the same old problem with VM - good product - lousy communication.
