I heard that Virgin are going to swap out their V+ for a standard VHD with the HD disabled.
And if they complain they will swap it for an analogue freeview box with no drop in subs

Ah yes you are correct... although it looks more zoomed than upscaled as my PS3, a DIVX player and the SA V+ all give a much sharper picture with a SD source.

This is exactly the type of review/comparison needed.
Does the PS3 pass the SD signal in 576i and let the TV do the scaling do you know?

Re: TiVo
Would people who have Tivo already say it was louder than the Samsung V+ or quieter?

Re: TiVo
Maybe we should all leave VM, join Sky, quit Sky and then re-join VM? Being ex Sky seems to be a quick way to get a TIVO

Got my Virgin tivo box installed today, I'm new to virgin media and have had sky since day one. Got to say I'm happy with my choice. Great bit of kit. If there's any questions I can help with fire away.

Yep. theres a poll on TiVo community Forum and about 30% have come over from Sky for TiVo.
