No, TiVo has a 3rd tuner already, it's just not activated until next month.

I use a Freesat HD box in my bedroom,conected to a recordable dvd player with built in freeview.Serves me very well as a supliment to my virgin services.

Yes, I use an Apple TV linked to a US iTunes account. It lets me rent the latest films, and TV episodes cost only $0.99 per episode - lots of BBC stuff available too. Using Apple TV I can also stream movies and iTunes music from my computer to watch on my HDTV and listen through my surround sound system. All very seamless and a bargain at 99 quid!
Note Apple TV does not do live TV.

Got Freeview HD as a back up in the living room if V+ dies, I also have Apple tv playing iTunes content through home sharing with my mac, don't rent them but iTunes HD film rentals are 50p cheaper than FilmFlex. In the bedroom I have a split second roof ariel feed into my mac using Eyetv Freeview tv solution.

Got a WD TV Live and a 4TB NAS box for christmas and am loving it. I do have fight the kids who are working their way through every Peppa Pig, Mr Men and Clangers episode I've ripped from DVD...

I have a Sony HD TV that is hooked to the internet via my VM Cable Modem. This gives me access to some VOD and films (Lovefilm and others). Interestingly a lot of the VOD stuff, e.g. BBC Iplayer shows recent stuff quicker than VM does on its platform, which is useful if you just missed something.
Quality seems as good at VM VOD for IPlayer at least if you choose the high def option (which is not true HD I know).

I have a twin tuner Freeview + with dynamic epg and a 500GB hard drive which upscales everything to 1080i and a DVD recorder as back up. I also can use my laptop to access all sorts.

I use apple Tv as well and tvcatchup on my ipad for freeview channels not on vm like movies4men. The catchuptv airplays video to the apple tv too.

I mostly use the freeview tuner in my Sony DVD/HD recorder .. the Virgin service I use rarely these days!
I've only got the standard box that came free with the phone service to be fair though.
