Re: Superhub Can i change the DHCP Settings ?

Thanks for the reply but i have already tryed that and i am still having problems I can change the IP address but can't change the DHCP Settings as there is no way for me change these settings as they are greyed out.

l will try and explain the best i can. my DHCP settings are standard as 192.168.0.1 to the range of 192.168.0.225 for example. I want to change my Lan IP to say 192.168.200.1
but when i go to change the DHCP settings i can only change the last digit IE 192.168.0.1 so i was woundering if theres a way to change this or do i need to do a Firmware update ? thankyou in advace

Re: Superhub Can i change the DHCP Settings ?

i havent got a superhub myself so I cant tell you axactly where it is, but somewhere there will be an option for a dhcp reservation list for manually assigning clients static ips within the range of their subnet, if you can find you can specifiy the ip address you would like allocated to your pc (it will list your pc and other devices connected to the network by netbios name and mac address)

I have just tested this on the Superhub and when you you change the LanIP you then click the box apply. It then restarts and changes the ranges. If you have the ordinary hub I dont know.
Instructions extracted from Superhub Help

Device Name: This is a friendly name of this Super Hub. You can see this name representing the Super Hub shown in the Network on Vista Windows and the Network Explorer on all Windows systems.

Use the LAN IP page to configure your local area network. The DHCP and TCP/IP default values work for most users.

The Super Hub is set up by default as a DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) server, which provides the TCP/IP configuration for all the computers that are connected to the Super Hub.

LAN IP Address: Type the LAN IP Address that you would like to assign for your Super Hub in dotted decimal notation (Factory default: 192.168.0.1).
Subnet Mask: The subnet mask specifies the network number portion of an IP address. Unless you are implementing subnet, use 255.255.255.0 as the subnet mask.
DHCP Server: Choose Yes to enable the DHCP Server on your Super Hub and assign IP addresses to computers on your LAN automatically. Choose No to assign IP addresses manually, or if you have another DHCP server on your network. Note: If you disable the DHCP server, you will need to assign your PC a static IP address in order to reconnect to the Super Hub and enable the DHCP server again.
Starting IP Address: This box specifies the first of the contiguous addresses in the IP address pool.
Ending IP Address: This box specifies the last of the contiguous addresses in the IP address pool.
Max Users: This box specifies the maximum users.
Lease Time: This box specifies Lease Time(second).
Click Apply when you finish changing the settings

Re: Superhub Can i change the DHCP Settings ?

Dont forget to do a backup before you change anything, e.g it messes up any reserved addresses you may have and probably other things as well.
