Re: Received wireless router - not superhub!

Following on from earlier posts, now at home and opened up a red box with “say hello to your box of tricks” and VM logo on the side and inside was a Super Hub so thank you VM!

Suggest original poster rings CS and ask for what they asked for.

I imagine it still counts as Virgin equipment.

Re: Received wireless router - not superhub!

Only for 2 years. But since they won't ask for it back in that time...

Or you could look at it from the "unsolicited goods" perspective...

That is how it should come with a long ethernet cable, a splitter and cover, 3 lengths of coax and some cable clips, that is what was in my box today as well as the Superhub.

No idea as I was not expecting to see it in the box, it appears to be a Quickstart kit that I received hence the splitter and coax plus the long ethernet cable none of which is required.

Re: Received wireless router - not superhub!

Kit seems to be based on a new customer so if existing then you have surplus cables.

Took me 2 hours to get connected and a long call to VM fault support after the initial activation didn't work.

OK now as can get to Internet and speedtest shows rock solid 20MB even on wireless.

Just one thing looks strange, in that the top LED is still flashing blue from the call last night when the others are green. Anybody know if this is correct or why it is blue? Another call to faults to clear?

Its blue because the downstream channels are bonded and it's now on DOCSIS3. Top light is only green when on a DOCSIS2 config.

Re: Received wireless router - not superhub!

Thanks, I'm actually on 20MB so still correct to be blue I guess with the "tick" LED green as well as the Wireless LED also green?

Edit: thanks whizzard, you posted while I was typing, makes sense, thought I would be moving to DOCSIS3 when I upgraded from 10MB to the new Super Hub. Thanks for explaining the change.

Re: Received wireless router - not superhub!

UPDATE - After a couple of calls to retentions they admitted the mistake and I got the superhub today. Activated and bumped to 30MB. Happy!
