I was told to expect a 3 hour install, by the installation team that phoned me yesterday. Be happy if its changed since then.

John.

depends how well trained the staff are by then. The girl installing mine knew the product, but when I questioned stuff like Media Access Keys and advanced wishlists etc the conversation can go on for a bit. I'd say the team were in my house for about 1.5 hours, and for some of that she had to explain to her colleagues what she was doing.

Re: TiVo
The feature that finds films with chosen actors - does this work for music programmes featuring a favourite artist or a sports programme featuring a favourite player or team?

If they are in the Title, cast or description then yes. As Ben says if it's in the data it should find them

What about the time they call from? Does anyone know that? I had a call a couple of days ago just after 8am, whether it was them or not I don't know (1471 brought back unavailable number), I was on my way to work and no-one else was awake.

Re: TiVo
We are eagerly awaiting the call and I'm trying to work out what the best thing to do is with my current boxes. We have the standard VIP50 setup. I'm wanting to keep both my current boxes making the Tivo box the third one.
Am I right in thinking that over and above my £100.55 I would have to pay another £3 a month for Tivo plus £6.50 for the extra box?

Re: TiVo
I've got my Tivo install booked for 22nd Feb. What's the chances I could get them to do 20-30meg Superhub install at the same time ? Is it the same installers who do both ?

Re: TiVo
Tivo beta and slow. Think I'll wait till they iron out the current issues and enable all three tuners. All I wanted was the extra space to record too. I can wait and I'm happy with the VIP50 package I'm on to be honest.
