No, someone chooses to design .. issue's are a factor of design and what one company perceived to be an issue, isn't necessarily a fault.

The reason for the delay in update isn't known to me, maybe they need something that takes a long time to code ? or order ? I've never created a firmware upgrade for a router, so have no idea.

I agree 100%,the issues are a design flaw which I am also 100% certain Netgear had foreseen.

It wasn't their design though, it was VM's. VM made the spec, I assume, and put it out to tender.

I wonder how much this firmware upgrade is costing them? They certainly won't be getting it free!

Someone in VM chose this design. You - VM - are now admitting "issues" in your own design. Whether the 'switched on' netgear guys advised the design, or against it, I'll never know. But since they now

I think the VM designers need to listen to them more.

You will not have to pay the £30 but you would lose the promo deal as all those taking the 30Mb have to revert to standard pricing.

It is stated on the website page.

What about if i upgrade to 50Mb, will i still lose the 6 months promo deal?

How could they poster have rung up and had it refunded if he had not been charged for it?

There are also still posts on this forum where offshore especially are telling existing superhub customers they will be charged.
They can call up and get a credit for the £30.

Just for reference purposes, my superhub is running at 8.9 to 9.1 dBmV without any major issues.

They can but if the are issues then it will probably be the power levels.

Re: [Update] ALL 20>30Mb upgrade discussion

Good start. Got my revised contract through for the installation and upgrade. The free upgrade showed a total of £18.50 extra, and the installation charges showed a total of £70...

Apparently someone entered it wrong, and the order had to be cancelled and re-entered.

VM Customer Services - please try better...
