Well deserved win, looked solid and confident.
Nando's face was a picture when we scored

Re: Football Season 2010/2011
It's amazing how much a club legend can galvanize a team, Liverpool look 10x better under Dalglish. Hope for them yet. Arsenal fans, you keep saying Newcastle got a soft penalty, but what about the perfectly legitimate Newcastle goal that was disallowed? Strangely muted on that...
Winding up aside, I still honestly think we're going to be handing over "England's Biggest Club" title at the end of the season, it's still surely heading to OT
Although it has been a very strange season.

Re: Football Season 2010/2011
Very VERY odd claims coming out of France. I must point out that these are only claims on a French News Wire and have no additional substance as for yet.
However the Arsenal vs Newcastle match is being investigated by Interpol on allegations of match fixing: http://translate.google.com.au/trans...n&hl=&ie=UTF-8
I simply do not understand this at all, Arsenal got no ref decisions in our favour. Seems rubbish to me.

Surprising it's because of ALLEGED money transfers between Dowd and Rosicky.

The site is reputable. That's all I know.
What doesn't make sense is why we got so many decisions against us if this were the case. There was a non-penalty. Newcastle getting away with quite few bad tackles without a card and Diaby getting a deserved red card (albeit he was provoked by the tacles) and a similar offense by Nolan not being given. Not only did every 50-50 decision go their way (1st pen) he gave another (2nd pen) which was bizarre.
So while the site is reputable I think it's rubbish and they are going to be sued.

Although it's never nice to see Liverpool win, it was enourmously satisfying to watch Roman's chequebook fail again

Re: Football Season 2010/2011
Translation was a bit off. Basically he is part of the supposed investigation due to the timing of his arrival and his performance. The article says that there was suspicious movements of money, betting i am guessing, around the game. Nothing about Dowd either.
---------- Post added at 21:02 ---------- Previous post was at 20:54 ----------
So to be clear. The Site is reporting that Interpol are looking into the match, namely suspicious patterns. Nothing about Dowd and Rosicky will be looked into as a result of his sub. All of that IF the story is true, which is probably isn't.

Re: Football Season 2010/2011
don't forget they can bet on stuff like card, corners and a host of other stuff, doesn't mean it was the score or result that was rigged.
Lets hope it isn't true anyway.
Not had a chance to read the article yet will check that out later on this evening

It's not much of an article. Another site in France is reporting it but again, nothing to back it up. Complete Rubbish.
---------- Post added at 21:43 ---------- Previous post was at 21:19 ----------
No other source is reporting it. Pfft, Stupid Internet. Note to self: Don't listen to gossip. A relief though. If Arsenal were involved not only it would be awful but we still haven't won anything either!!

OMG. French TV are actually reporting it now. Are they talking about the rumors or do they have stuff to back it up.

Am I the only one that wishes Barton had laid Fabregas flat on his back. Either Barton or Moyes..

Is he taking the ****? He probably meant to say 'I don't think anyone loves the money more than me'

Oh excellent, an evening Old Firm match giving the half-wits plenty of time to get tanked up during the day.
Looks like another day off cancelled then
I can't see any reason why cup matches are not played to a conclusion first time out. Still yesterdays was the best OF match for a long time.
