They are. I said i ordered 2 weeks ago so i already have a Superhub, he said you will still be required to pay the £30 charge. I don't mind paying £30, don't get me wrong, but it appears the £30 charge is for the superhub.

Re: [Update] ALL 20>30Mb upgrade discussion
Just had an e-mail back in response to completing the web form, which contains the line: Your new Super Hub will be delivered to you on [Input delivery date] to support your new broadband speeds.
That's helpful... Guess the rest will be in the letter.

Re: [Update] ALL 20>30Mb upgrade discussion
My Superhub arrived just before noon, set it up, got it activated, changed the wireless settings on all our mobile devices/laptops, and everything is hunky-dory.

Re: [Update] ALL 20>30Mb upgrade discussion
Been looking at my Sam Knows performance stats and the upstream on my 30Mb service isn't going above 2Mb, is there anything I can do?
20Mb previously was perfect, 19.55Mb/s down 1.97Mb/s up.

haha I think not

No it is not false advertising, you are on a Retentions package because you probably threatened to leave, Virginmedia have stated that for you to upgrade to 30Mb they require you to go onto standard pricing and also pay a one off fee of £30 like all the other people in this thread which is fair to everyone.

They will feel pity for all the other activation fees that you have paid, personally I would have made you pay double.

But they'd already got £75 off you for the superhub in the first place!

I suppose it is not the superhubs biggest problem with it's other issues that need fixing.

I'm yet to confirm this but the superhub may actually be blocking the use of external DNS services (such as Google's). Anyone with a Superhub and a little technical knowledge want to check for me?

It also states "Customers on non-standard pricing will need to move to standard pricing to receive these offers. Downgrading services in your bundle during the minimum period will attract a charge."

check my reply in other thread, I can test further I guess by setting up external queries for myself on one of my dns server's, do bit of web browsing and check the logs after. Although at the moment I am usng dmz, the superhub is still ultimately the router.
