Re: Virgin media price increase
Got the dreaded email through today. My bill went up £1.25 due to the VAT (fine with that), now it's going up another £4 in April. £5 is plenty enough when you're a pensioner. Doesn't seem long since we had price increases in 2009 either? I never thought I'd say this and I've been with the service since the C&W/NTL days but the price is becoming slightly uncompetitive.

Officially? No. What the discussions may be isn't one I'd care to guess

Re: Virgin media price increase
VM held most prices in 2010, so a small rise is due I guess. Sky put their prices up last September as usual.
You can't expect more channels and services without some kind of increase.
VM have added loads of stuff in the last 2 years on TV and broadband.

I understand your concern, but you are talking about two years ago....
Why don't you get a comparison price from VM's competitors, and if it is cheaper, either move to them or as VM to match the price.

Dear Arthur,
We wanted to let you know that some of our prices are increasing from 1st April 2011. Lots are staying exactly the same and some haven’t changed at all in the last two years.
When you have a moment, take a look here and you can see how this affects you. If you’d like to remind yourself which package you’re on, just take a look at the top of this letter.
If any of the products you have aren’t mentioned here, don’t worry, it means those prices are staying exactly as they are.
Finally, at Virgin Media, we’re here to help you live your life to the full.
So head to our useful site and have a read through our plans to make your home a more exciting place to live in 2011. The website is incorrect. Ben has raised it with the business. Should be changed very soon.

Re: Virgin media price increase
The pricing must be wrong as according to that (I'm on VIP50) then the price rise should be £2.25 not £12 as advertised.

There is also a 90p increase in Additonal Box cost included in VIP so the total increase is £3.15 (as I confirmed elsewhere )
