Re: Big Brother: Channel 5 close to deal
Lol was only the web feed that got me into the series. Recall thinking that will never work as those web cams look so crap pic quality wise it will never fit a tv broadcast quality program. How little did I know at the time lol.

Re: Big Brother: Channel 5 close to deal
Well as long as Channel 5 manage to show BB and keep up the schedule for it's other shows I can't see any problem. My biggest complaint with it on 4 was the other satellite shows around it discussing it endlessly. At long as it's not on all the subsidiary 5 channels and those of us who watch 5 normally don't get it stuffed down our throats I shan't mind.
4 went a bit over the top with it but if 5 use some common sense I'm sure things will be OK.Even with the change to 5 I can't see it regaining it's former popularity

Re: Big Brother: Channel 5 close to deal
From what I can remember channel 4 only showed the highlights for an hour and the live feed came on very late. Later than it did on e4. So it was only an hour that it was on for. E4 carried the spin of shows

Re: Big Brother: Channel 5 close to deal
I dont watch anything on Channel 5 and dont even know what CSI is about. Coouldn't even tell you what time It's on at. Channel 5 are still in talks with Endemol and nothing has been finalised yet so at this stage nobody knows what time it will be shown at so bit early to get excited even for the bb fans.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they do come away from the table with a deal. So Its all up in the air still at the moment

Re: Big Brother: Channel 5 close to deal
CSI is also on Living. Its a massive show and has 2 spin offs, CSI, Miami and CSI New York. CSI Stands for Crime Scene Investigation btw. Can't believe you have no idea what its about.
If they do manage to get BB, I hope Ch5 take it back to its roots and make it simpler without all the extra shows.

Videos went out 50 years ago :P and i only have/need a TV in the bedroom, like i said i don't wish to record it i wish to watch it prime time mid evening when it is always on, this was my moan about BB as BB takes over the telly like no other programme does, when BB is on it may take over the channel every night for 3 months and this is the reason why people who hate BB moan so much and it can't be compared to other TV programmes in the same way.

Re: Big Brother: Channel 5 close to deal
Actually these days I cheat and watch CSI using Demand 5 player on my PC. Much better because the ads are minimal and thus the shows are quicker and shorter. Same with the other 5 shows like Justified and anything else on 5 like documentaries.

Re: Big Brother: Channel 5 close to deal
I bought my videos 5yrs ago so exradration really and are going very strong still. Big brother has only been on Channel 4 for an hour an night and also it was on for an hour live feed or less on e4 at lunch time and came back on again late at night so it didn't take over any programmes. It was on an hour and a half on a Friday night for the eviction and then a programme was on while the votes were counted and came back on for a half an hour to do the interview so how is that taken over.
I could say that about football and soccer as it sometimes takes over programmes I like but I couldn't be bothered complaining as other people like it. I can also say I find it crazy grown men/women running up and down a field trying to get a ball into a net and hugging each other when it does but hey different things for different folks

I accept people are different and like different things and give them the respect for it

Re: Big Brother: Channel 5 close to deal
But football isn't on every night for 3 months, so it is different.
If BB is only on for 1hr each evening then maybe i can survive but i always thought it was on for 2-3hrs at a time.
