ISO Image extraction tool
Hi,
Does anyone know of a good (free) ISO extraction tool. I have downloaded Visual studio 2010 but can't extract it without burning to disk.
Thanks

Re: ISO Image extraction tool
Tried that, it failed with this message.....
This disc contains a "UDF" file system and requires an operating system
that supports the ISO-13346 "UDF" file system specification.

That isn't free though apart from a 40 day trial unless it still works after the trial legally?
I use Winrar although 7-Zip is free and very popular. http://www.7-zip.org/

What about mounting it?
If you need, there is a free version of Deamon tools you can use. Scroll down to Deamon Tools Lite.

Re: ISO Image extraction tool
I used to mount ISO's Microsoft had a tool that could do that, but it must have been removed from the MSDN site... if 7z doesn' t do it, I'll have a crack at Daemon tools lite.
Thanks Mick

I may be missing something here but why do you want to extract an ISO image? Surely you want to burn that image to disc? If not then you can use Daemon Tools lite to mount and access the image.

EDIT
Beaten to it by Mick.

Re: ISO Image extraction tool
HI Snoopz, mounting or extracting will do I just want to install the software.
Either way during installation the software will need to be extracted (albeit temporarily using a mount tool).
I need to install the software on multiple PC's so it's simplier if I extract and store on an external drive.

Re: ISO Image extraction tool
Another vote for Daemon tools, used it for years and I've probably lost count of how many blanks disks it's saved

Mount tools don't extract it, temporarily or otherwise. It gives you direct access to the contents of the file as if it were a real CD, main benefit being you don't waste the disk space and time required to extract.
