A new television powerhouse looks set to be created after American regulators cleared Comcast's proposed $13.8bn (£8.7bn) takeover of NBC Universal.

I'm unsure how obvious these implications are, Comcast have no reason to change the existing agreements, it gets eyeballs on the content and puts money into pockets.

The implications are for Comcast's competition in the US, not here where they don't operate

We have been here before, Time Warner (one of the biggest Media companies in the USA) used to own Time Warner Cable (The 2nd biggest cable company in the USA), but sold it and listed it in 2009, Comcast should have taken over Time Warner Cable!

Also to note, the case of AOL Time Warner!
