Why wouldn't you want one? I have one and it works flawlessly with 3 PC's and a lappy attached to the four Gigaports - all maxing out at 50-51 Mb/s.

Read the last 30 pages maybe? That's been answered at least a dozen times already in this thread.

Re: Virgin to give new Superhub out.
Hmm. I'd hate to blame Netgear for poor QC as part of my home network infrastructure depends on another, better piece of kit (WGR614v9, non-VM) but perhaps some Super Hubs work okay and some are really unreliable.
Even if they were all reliable though, they'd still suck for anyone who needs more than a quick plug'n'play networking solution. They're too basic, and as a result VM should still be stocking standard modems so customers can drop their own routers in if they like. It wouldn't be too difficult to modify the script to have two options, Regular (Super Hub) and Advanced (Modem Only).
Again if the SH had a bridge mode none of this would matter, but that fabled firmware update to do so sounds more like a placebo than something which will actually materialise. Obviously I'd love to be proved wrong on that one.

So you ask a question, when I point out the answer you say "Bollox". Don't bother opening your mouth next time. Or bothering to type on your keyboard.

Is definitely in the works, as is Bridge Mode for the prior Hub via it's own F/W update.

VM playing catch up again! When will they listen to their customers before deciding what equipment customers want or need?

I think they are great
I got the superhub as a freebie and they sent me a Superhub kit.
Which had about 30ft of Cat5e cable\3X 3ft long cables to connect to the 3-way splitter and cover for it.
+ other bits

Err, unless the new BeBox is very different, all you do is choose a profile that allows it. No hack required.

If he received a Quickstart kit then it comes with some very long leads including an ethernet cable.

It might be different now, the Thomson (585n I think) I had when I was with them last year didn't have a bridge option at the time I left, had to download a custom config script from their forums.
