Not really as it sits on a stand which is 80mm wide so you have plenty of room.

If I can't return it, then I'll have to sell it at a loss because I would prefer to get something for it than have it sitting in its box on the floor. I should have stuck with my original gut feeling and just got a refund on the deposit, but sometimes you don't know until you try.

As you have no legal right to a refund simply because you don't like something or have changed your mind [unless purchased online, & the goods are unused], then you're at the mercy of Gamestation's own returns policy... and I very much doubt they'll give you a full refund for a piece of opened & used hardware.

You need six feet for one player.

After going through Kinect's set up process I don't have enough room to use it, even though the 360's in a generous sized room. How was I going to know that without setting it up. The box says six foot for single player, but the set up had me around eight foot away.

I would rather sell it at a loss so someone can make use of it, than have it all sitting on the floor in its box.

6ft is a average recommended play space , the big the better really , im lucky in the fact i didnt have to rearrange my furniture and we have around 10ft of space in the centre of the room, it also states on the box 8ft is needed for 2 players

Kinect

Well we have two Kinect systems up and running in a modest 1970's 3 Bedroomed house. They key to it for us was that the boys have "high sleeper" beds with the TV and desk underneath. The TV is in the corner and the Kinect looks diagonally across the room.

The only problem was lighting, trying to avoid too much glare. This needed the lights arranged to bounce of the ceiling to avoid the deep shadows.

It is a really great piece of kit !!

Re: Kinect (Project Natal) Xbox 360 - No Strings (or Controllers) Attached

I got given Kinect for christmas along with Dance Central and I totally love it.

Only just got enough room though. Its amazing how accurate it seems to be at tracking movement. Really want to get Kinect Sports and Fitness Evolved next.

We got one for Christmas - again, enough room for one player but not for two
So far K Adventures is fun but not sure now for how long. Kinectimals is cutesy but enjoyable. Still haven't started with Fitness Evolved - maybe tonight!
