Replacement for Bravo/Channel One?
Now that we've lost Bravo and soon Channel One.
Does Virgin Media have any plans to offer M+, L, and in some cases XL customers a replacement for these channels?
The L package is going to be pretty much worthless soon if they don't.
They should unlock the CBS Reality and the Horror Channel to L customers, both are free to air channels, and it's absolutely ridiculus that they're XL customers only.

I know of no Plans as of yet.
But I think with Challenge set to launch on Freeview - Virgin Media may move Challenge to the M+ Package.

Hmm! As a XL customer I'm quite happy to lose the Challenge channels as I NEVER watch them. However we did watch Bravo. So we have lost 4 ok channels and I bet if they do replace them it will be with utter tripe sales channels...

Bravo programming is moving to Sky1/2/3 and LIVING, so you've lost nothing as regards to programming. Sky have said they will move all programming to other Sky channels.
VM reveiw their packages from time to time, so I'd expect more channels to be added when available.

How have they done this? Sky have closed the channels and moved content to other channels, which are also available to VM customers.
What have you lost?

Fewer channels has to mean something has to have been lost somewhere. If it was just a question of shows being moved to other channels then something from those channels has to be lost so Virgin customers who watched any of these channels will inevitably lose something.

I'd hope it was some of the "fillers". Sky are unlikely to stop showing the popular material.
We'll have to see I guess.

Re: Replacement for Bravo/Channel One?

Re: Replacement for Bravo/Channel One?
http://tv.sky.com/Bravo
The Bravo family of channels (Bravo and Bravo2) will close on 1 January 2011 meaning they’ll be removed from all TV platforms, including Sky and Virgin Media.

Bravo’s most popular programmes will find new homes on other Sky channels. These include Spartacus, Chuck, Leverage, Dog the Bounty Hunter, Star Trek, TNA Wrestling, Sun, Sea and A & E, Motorway Patrol, Highway Patrol and Caribbean Cops.
Next year we’ve got more great stuff coming including the launch of our exciting new channel Sky Atlantic and much more.
Thanks

Problem is I would want or better demand replacement like for like we about and just lost 5 general entertainment channels and even noticed yesterday+1 gone too. If we dont get 5 general entertainment replacements it will be a stitch up. No pap reality channel or quiz rubbish will replace what we lost. I personally hope virgin u-turn rebrand them and stick two fingers upto SKY. Love no better to se virgin1 & bravo come back rebranded with maybe linkup with C4, C5, ITV and beeb to give it financial musscle. Be free to air on freeview be right challenge to anything sky could do.
On the shows I suppose so but I wont watch them on sky1/2/3 in principle would rather wait see it on bluray. Some may think I am stupid but I not watched a thing from them since they returned. I wont ever forgive them Sky can go to hell. I have awful feeling they gonna nick the new V why else it get shown so quickly after scifi. They better lay off it so I can watch season 2 it was left in real limbo.
Incidently for those who watch spartacus the next one is 6 part prequal due to the lead actor is ill. Called Spartacus: Gods of the Arena I will wait for bluray.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spartacus:_Gods_of_the_Arena
Sky incompetance anybody know where the documentarys from north sea going. I hope not to sky 1/2/3 channel.
