Yes - I would also guess that that is the fair value, but if we are expected to cover it in the insurance then it is up to VM to tell us it's value, not for us to guess.

Why not simply ask them? I doubt very much it would be included as a high value item though. Generally these are for things that are a thousand pounds or more, so it would be included in the general contents and would not need to be listed individually.
