Internet isn't responding
I dont know whats happened, but all of a sudden my internet has stopped working.
The only thing I have done is to download epson printer driver for a bx600fw printer.
After i downloaded the driver i took the laptop downstairs and when i logged on it popped up with a mcafee asking if i wanted to trust the new connection, i selected yes as i havent made any changes to my wireless.
it showed i was connected to my broadband, but no web page could be viewed.
I did a system restore to before i installed the printer driver, and upon restart the mcafee popped up again saying the same thing, this time i selected dont trust the new connection, and it still showed i was connected to the internet, and again i couldnt view any webpages.
after this rigmarole i uninstalled mcaffee and rebooted, and it still wont let me view any webpages.
im basically dumbfounded, can anyone help?

Re: Internet isn't responding
Are you sure you're picking up YOUR wireless and not somebody else's?

Re: Internet isn't responding
If you're using a wireless dongle via usb, then try removing it for a few seconds and then reinsert it back... You could also try openening the "network and sharing center" to see if there's a red "X" on the connection. If there is, then click the red X to let windows try and fix the problem.

Re: Internet isn't responding
How did you uninstall McAfee?
It can be a bit of a beast to remove it all so McAfee recommend you use the MCPR tool.
http://service.mcafee.com/FAQDocument.aspx?id=TS100507
Step 2 - Download and run MCPR.exe
Then have a reg and general tidy up with ccleaner..

What IP address have you got? Rebooted the router / WiFi AP? Come on - simple stuff first!

Re: Internet isn't responding
Ive got a valid ip address. Rebooted the modem etc.
Wireless devices are working, laptops arent, but nothings been changed that could cause this.
Galaxy tab connects, so does the ipod, mobile, ps3. But both laptops refuse to display a webpage. They both show they are connected to my Isp.

Further to this, make sure that "Automatically Detect Settings" is ticked.
