Re: Virgin to give new Superhub out.

Got my lovely superhub today, I like the new design, and no need a wireless router now. It already built on it. I also got a free adaptor too. Thanks Virgin Media

Give us a screen shot of the login page to prove you got one or give us the first 2 digits of your macc address. You ask everyone else for proof so come on lets see it. ?

There are one or two on google with distinctive id's so we will know. BTW my superhub is great

Plus he got that very quickly considering they would have only posted it today.

If he does have one he will be able to tell us what the first 2 digits are of his macc address. They are unique to that product and the first 2 digits will not help a hacker.

The first 2 digits dont give anything away. Ok i will ask another question that you can only answer if you have a hub.

On the services page what is the vary last option at the bottom of the page ?

On the Super Hub Status page what version of firmware do you have ?

On the Connection page What is the very last piece of information at the bottom of the page ?

However to be straight and honest i do not believe a word you are saying and don't for one second think you do have one, However go on prove me wrong. BTW i can when you answer produce a screen shot to back up what you say.

Re: Virgin to give new Superhub out.

I had my Superhub installed a few days back but he chap had only brought an old D-Link dongle with him that could only do 2.4ghz, not the new Superhub USB adapter. He said I should ring VM which I did then and there and they said they would send out a new Superhub USB adapter to reach me in 5 days. Well, today I receive a big box with a new Superhub self-install kit in it and... no USB adapter.

So, Superhub self-install kits do exist but I don't want one. I shall have to call back after Christmas because I'm going away in a few days. VM better not charge me £75 for this second Superhub I don't need. Grrrrr!

Re: Virgin to give new Superhub out.

Self install is normally sent out to those upgrading to 20Mb. 50Mb remains engineer install.

Re: Virgin to give new Superhub out.

I'm already on 50meg with a Superhub as I was engineer upgraded from 20meg a few days back, this second Superhub has been sent to me with a very very long ethernet cable as a joke from the warehouse I guess. Probably didn't have the right wireless dongle in the warehouse yet and sent this for a laff. Very funny, I get it, use a massive ethernet cable instead of wireless, what a hoot, but you didn't need to send me a whole new hub to make your point as well, VM chaps. I don't really care so long as they don't think they can charge me for their fun.

Hopefully they'll have the right Dongles in after Christmas when I call up to sort it out.

Re: Virgin to give new Superhub out.

But they sent it to you as a replacement not an install, even though in error.

Re: Virgin to give new Superhub out.

My main concern is my bill, whatever they class the package as I don't want a £75 charge for it.
