4 Digit Pin Number
After receiving a new STB my pin seems not to be working, and I have tried it twice, the next unsuccessful attempt will block it, any reason why the pin has changed as I thought it would be the same smart card from the previous box?

Re: 4 Digit Pin Number
The pin should either be 1234 or 0000.

Thanks, but I thought my pin details would have been stored on my smart card, or will the smart card be a new one since the engineer replaced the STB?

Re: 4 Digit Pin Number
Try Fix-It Assistant
1. Press Home on your remote.
2. Select option 9, for Help & Info.
3. Select option 2, for Virgin TV.
4. Select option 9, for Got a Problem?
5. Select option 1 for Fix-It Assistant.
Then do the error code check
The PIN is stored in the box, not on the card, by the way.

Re: 4 Digit Pin Number
As spiderplant has pointed out the Pin is stored on the box so it should be one of the two PINS that i have suggested. You are able to change the PIN in home>settings>change pin.

Re: 4 Digit Pin Number
Thanks folks, that worked, but does this mean my pin will be on the box that the engineer took away, and if so will they change that pin if they are to issue the old box that is still working to someone else?

Yeah thanks, I've just now got the problem with that Dave channel 128 not working as per my other thread, if you want to add anything to it please do so.

The problem was that no PIN had been set when the box was put in. You can't use Change PIN in this case, but it's one of the problems that Fix-It can deal with.

The pin was as devilincarnate suggested, so therefore I was able to change the pin myself.
