Re: TiVo
Hmmm
I'm not sure I can sell this to the family. I'm a triple play XL with 2 v+ hd boxes which Ive only just had. I had to pay £150 on my first bill to get the 2 boxes. The idea of paying another £150 for something that I can't sell on doesn't make me feel very warm...
I had 2 Sky HD boxes which I know I'll recoup about £60 each for which will help with the upfront costs for last month. Its a bit much to ask someone to pay up front for a box which they can't sell on. I'd gladly pay it if I could as I could then offset the initial cost against say £100 for second hand to another VM customer.
This is so disappointing.

Re: TiVo
Been reading a few articles on the FT website and they are saying that it is going to be existing customers who get the box first before winning over new customers.

Re: TiVo
tell you what a good deal for customers and virgin would be.
to pay £10 per month extra and a 24 month min contract.

Re: TiVo
I'll pay £150 for the box but not the install at £40. I could buy a netbook for that price and it's mine.

It has to be installed / fine tuned and demonstrated by a Virgin Media installer, so the £40 will stand, sorry. It's a premium product.

Re: TiVo
Must admit I don't mind the install and tweaking, but I can live without a demo... other than extra features it can't be much different to navigate than the older TiVos, plus I like to just sit and play
Have TiVo redone all the menues in HD now, or does it drop into the old non-HD menu at times when doing things such as web videos like the earlier Premier boxes in the States?

No - still legacy throwbacks in certain places. I asked earlier (in this thread I think)
EDIT - sorry, just read back and seen previous reply - sorry @clinteastman
