Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2010) Vol. IV
Damm
I have XL TV + Sky Sports HD, Phone XL, Broadband L, plus extra box upstairs.
At a monthly cost of £75 I would like to think I could get a good deal on this Tivo box but I won't hold my breath.

Call me cynical but I would be gobsmacked if this was indeed free for those quoted earlier on in the thread.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2010) Vol. IV
Just to confirm, we're on TV XL, XL Phone, XL Broadband; so this means Tivo absolutely free for 12 months including install?!?
Seems to good to be true, I hope it is

I agree, it would at least have the install fee or the quickstart fee, what would happen to the old v pluses and who will have them?

I tend to agree. Would be nice but it doesn't seem believable.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2010) Vol. IV
yeah virgin don't have a track record of doing things for the benefit of their customers, my 20mb is limited to 10mb at ALL times on usenet no matter the time of day or even if i've downloaded nothing for 24hrs, this violates their terms of agreement so virgin giving us free tivo's seems unlikely.
@jtaylor yes its been seen.

Yes, now though apparently it's not the final design it's just a prototype, but other people have said it is the final.

On DS someone said that it will look similar to a PS3, but it's all speculation until Virgin lift the red blanket off of the website picture.

It looks very genuine especially as it has the heart symbol as the modem light which is same as ciscohd

They would have had a few prototypes, just got to wait and see what they decided on to know whether the leaked photo is the final design or not.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2010) Vol. IV
Will the V+ boxes get the same EPG as the new Tivo boxes and if so, is the recording capacity the only difference.

We don't know for sure at the moment, but it's hoped that the older V+ boxes will get a TiVo-esque makeover.
