New phones on virgin?

Hi just wondering if anyone has any info as to whether Virgin will be stocking any new decent phones soon?
My current contract runs out at the end of the month and I really wanted the HTC desire but they seem to have stopped stocking this phone.
I'm currently paying £25 a month and would pay a bit higher for a decent phone but the the moment I'm not very impressed with the phones available
Thanx for any help

Hi,
on another thread in this site someone said soon HTC Deside HD and Samsung Galaxy S will be stock and offered to Virgin Mobile customers. I quote:
"VM currently have no high spec android handsets in the range , This WILL change shortly.

VM realise that smartphones are the biggest growing sector of the market but a small part of the VM market. and historicaly high spec handsets have not been big movers for them.

They will have high spec handsets in the range as the market is moving away from low spec cheap fast moving handsets. No date but hinted that Galaxy may return to range and poss HTC desire HD."

You might want to speak to retention and hold on?

Re: New phones on virgin??

They had the Nokia N8 in stock a couple of weeks ago for £40 with a 2 year contract, if you have a local Virgin store try there.

Re: New phones on virgin??

Hi.
thanx for the quick reply, well I think I'll give them a call if they are planning to stock better phones and see if I can hold on for a bit. I'd really like to stick with them as I've had no problems with them other that their lack of decent stock!

I did see the N8 on there, it didn't seem to be on the website long tho!! I'd rather have the new HTC to be honest as I've had a Nokia 5800 for the past 18 months so wanted to try something different and I 've heard alot of good things about the HTC range

Same boat as you.
I have the Nokia 5800 and contract expires in the start of December. I did call and they said the Desire HD should become available in January. My wife has the Wildfire and it's a great phone for her but I really want the HD.
What I am worried is the price they may charge. Decisions decisions!

They had the Nokia N8 a few weeks back now the stock on the site is very poor which will cause many potential and existing customers to look elsewhere for their next new phone.

Have Virgin Mobile forgotten that christmas is a matter of weeks away as without any up to date stock they will lose customers hand over fist.

My contract is up in February and if the is nothing better available at that time I will be looking elsewhere regardless of discounts.

As for the BB Torch it will turn into just another chav phone the same as the present versions available, not something I desire.

Re: New phones on virgin?

The HTC HD is a lovely phone, my friend at work has got it and its such a nice looking phone and can do so much, I love my HTC Desire does what I need, however can't upgrade until next year in September.
