So what do you mean by certain programs cannot be archived due to copyright issues?

Yes, sometimes, especially just after you've changed channel, you get the information for the previous channel or no information at all. The problem I have has been going on for months and I've only observed it with CSI on Living and Living +1. It has gone off the screen now for today so I can't quote exactly but it says something like "Series about a team of Crime Scene Investigators." with no other useful information about the particular episode. The information for CSI: Miami on Living is fine and the information for CSI on other channels is too.
Anyway, that was a somewhat off-topic comment I attached to the end of a valid post so I won't carry it any further.

Certain programs can't be copied off the V+ box due to copyright issues. They can all sit on the box for as long as you like -- in practice the 160GB limit on the box stops you from keeping programs for long.

The Five DOG is off screen a bit though. It's set too far in the corner.

I have a wide-screen CRT TV with a Pace Di4000-N V Box and the digital on-screen graphic is almost off-screen. I don't know what it would be like if the STB was switched to 4:3 or I connected my non-wide-screen TV.
Is Demand Five definitely setting the Aspect Ratio pin correctly on the SCART socket? When I was watching The Mentalist there was no obvious change in aspect ratio between the lead-in adverts ending and the programme starting and the DOG was right up against the top and left-hand edges of the tube. I assume that The Mentalist is recorded and broadcast in wide-screen and possibly even in HD where applicable.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2010) Vol. IV
As far as I can tell, Demand Five is formatted correctly. They've just put the DOG really close to the edge of the 16:9 frame.
I bought a CRT in 2002. I reckon it's still got a good 10 to 15 years left in it.

Can you list those programmes because AFAIK any recording can be copied to DVD/VHS via SCART?
You cannot copy VOD programming on any STB.

Yeah can on at least some of the old V boxes. My mum used to record On Demand content to a hard drive recorder all the time before my parents got a V+.

It seems to me just delete all other threads and have this one as everyone seems to post what they want in here.
It seems to have gone from a thread talking about what channels will be coming soon or even going to a free for all for anything.
I think there should be a Tivo thread all of it's own but it seems it's just being bundled up in here.
