V+ issue post 50Mb upgrade - no EPG etc.

I have a problem with my main V+ box.
No electronic information displays at all e.g. tv listings, record info etc.
My two other Samsung boxes display everything as normal.

Without the aid of seeing where the box thought it was, I eventually managed to get it to a state where I can punch in the TV channel number - but again, nothing displays as you are doing this and as long as the LED display on the box keeps up it isn't too bad that I have the most basic of service on the premium box.

Might be irrelevant This has happened after an upgrade to 50Mb.
Is it possible that someone has hit a combo of keys on the remote to turn off all electronic display? And if so is there a way to reset?
TV fault line couldn't fix it for me and I have to wait a week for an engineer.

I think that my booked recordings will still work - but I can't remember if I've got enough storage left for the week! And there's already too many programs to catch up on!
Anyone have a remedy please?

If you are viewing via scart try changing sockets on the V+. The VCR scart socket doesn't send out any graphics.

The above issue with scart connectionsis quite common, but if you are connected via HDMI then you will need to call support who will send signal to the box which should fix it.

Sounds like the OP has set the box to hdmi and then used the vcr socket. First of all make sure the box is actually plugged into the tv socket, then try the following:

Hold in the Stop and Play/Pause buttons on the front panel, and press Reset. Keep Stop and Play/Pause held in until the display says 'boot'. After a few seconds the display should say 'outpt'. Press the Fast Forward button several times until the display says 'Sd', then press OK. Wait for the V+ to reboot then you should be back in SCART mode

Jeez! I did have to reconnect the scart after it had fallen out after the engineer finished his work.
I cannot believe that I haven't plugged in to the VCR socket before and learned the different properties of the VCR output.

Thanks guys - sorry to waste your time with such a basic question and sorry that I didn't troubleshoot adequately.

Not a wasted post at all as it learns others about this issue.
