issue with d-link dir-635 i think

Had this router a while and its always been good till recently not quite sure in its maze of options what im doing wrong.

Ok so things like newsgroup download speeds, video streaming and website failure to load sometimes happens. Im guessing its a dns/firewall/qos/wish issue so Ive flushed dns on windows, upgraded the firmware to 2.32EU, and reset it. Firewall(s) are; off

Router config settings.
QOS is; on, Traffic Shaping is; on, WISH is; on [not configured], Nat endpoint, both set to independent. Upnp is; on, Wan ping is; on, multicast streams; on.
Application rules and port forwarding; not configured. There are no network hogs ie p2p.

Ive got 50mb connection, if I plug the modem directly into my pc I can download newsgroups are full connection speed.

Any help would be welcome,
Regards
