Re: Mystery Missile
It looks like the vapour trail from an aircraft taking off or gaining height, no big deal.

Nobody could actually prove it was offshore (not even the pentagon could figure it out).

Re: Mystery Missile
Looks like an SM2 launch to me but there would be no reason for teh DoD to deny it unless there are some dodgy circumstances around it.

Re: Mystery Missile
I just thought I'd mention I saw some red lights slowly moving across the sky earlier, went to get my camera and whatever it was wasn't there anymore. it was about 5 lights making a half circle sort of shape.
just incase it's mentioned in the news or whatever.

Re: Mystery Missile
That's some rotation for an aircraft.... Is it a Harrier? Must be like 70°
I've seen half a dozen shuttle launches in Florida and they look the same. Same angle upwards, and then curving (like the video) but also after the shuttle has gone the trail goes all spirally just like you can see in the video.
When you see plane vapour trails they just disappear, not spiral.
I reckon it could be China or N. Korea showing off in the Pacific and the US are trying to calm the nation.
p.s. If it is a plane then it's on fire (Quantas?) and seems to be missing its lights. And its a lot of vapour and appears to be flying on 1 engine.
