TV Out of Focus

Hi, it's hard to read the text on our TV, it's a CRT TV, we had a visitor today and straight away mentioned our TV was out of focus. What could this mean please, I've changed the scart cables and it still makes no difference.

Thank You.

Re: TV Out of Focus

If the TV appears out of focus and doesn't have a focus adjustment, it may be that it needs a service.

If it's an old TV, it could mean that the tube is on it's way out. Get a repair man to check it out.

Re: TV Out of Focus

Just join up to the Freecycle website in your area and keep a look out for someone giiving away a free tv, in my area as a lot of people are getting LCD/plasma tv's there are probably about 7 or 8 26"-32" crt tv's being given away each week

Re: TV Out of Focus

It could be that the settings on your Virgin box havent been executed properly. My g/f recently had Virgin installed. One of the boxes is in the bedroom, where she only has a CRT TV. The setting the engineer used was awful. Looked out of focus and distorted. Let alone made the eyes strain.

Check this out before you pay for a TV engineer. Have a play around.
