Not the case. The article refers to SSE's price rise and states that it will be a burden additional to the generalised increase of VAT on other VAT attracting goods. There has been no mention,anywhere that I have seen, of any change to the VAT applied to energy bills.
Thank you for pointing out that I had misread the article, phew, I thought I was going to have to put another overcoat on the bed.
That's what comes of staying up after 10 PM, unlike most of my neighbours these days.
