I blame my meds. Or at least that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Re: too fat to work.
19 & 20 stone is excessive for most people, but not I suppose for a 6 foot 7 bloke, & it doesn't give their heights. I believe most companies would ask their employees to take a medical, & let the doctor recommend a strict diet, or simply fail the medical. Unfit to do the job.

No need to as you posted the same time as Vanman edited his thread, so you are perfectly correct in that it wasn't there at the start

If a driver can't fit into the seat, then they ARE "Too fat to work"

With all due respect that not always going to be true.If someone is over 6.6 ft and has a body builders physique they may well not fit into the seat.

There are cases where these 'medical' people go by the age/height/weight charts, and tell you that you come under the obese section.
they don't take into account the muscle mass at all.

Actually, that's a good point - when I had an operation on my knee (which, granted, was a few years ago) the consultant told me that I counted as obese. I questioned it seeing as how I'm 6' 5" and (at that time) about 14 stone, and he then admitted that his chart didn't actually go up to my height, so he'd guessed...

I find that quite hilarious given I'm 5'9" and weigh about 14st. I have a 33" waist though, I do love when the BMI machines inform me I'm obese
In this case though there being nothing discussing such things, which you would expect if this were the case especially from the union side, I would suggest that these guys just ate too much and moved too little.

Great, innit...
Even now, when I'm nearly 2 stone heavier than I was then, my BMI's still only 25.7 - technically overweight, but still not obese

Re: too fat to work.
We need to start taxing overweight people in the same way we tax smokers, they put a huge burden on the health service and probably increase carbon emissions. Cruel but fair.
