Re: Russia inflates its military with blow-up weapons
It's funny how the guy in the video claims that there 'Russia's secret weapon', yeah, not so secret anymore, makes them look weak if you ask me, not smart.
What happens when they get shot at? lol :P

War counts as much on psychology as much as it does physical acts. Put enough of these in a weak part of your line of defence or attack, and you may just persuade the enemy generals to attack the parts you have defended most strongly by making them look weaker. After all, they may be a couple of miles away, or looking at the line via a satellite photo. In either case, these will look like real tanks.
These things do look very convincing. Combine that with the fact that they are also designed to present both the radar and thermal image the normal weapon would. They would probably fool any enemy into thinking they are the real thing.

They'd have to keep a check on them. otherwise the long stiff bit will go all droopy. and that would give the game away

Bahhh
Melchett: ...Exactly what the enemy would expect us to do, and
therefore exactly what we shan't do!
Blackadder: Ah.
Melchett: Now, if we attack where the line is strongest, then Fritz
will think that our reconnaissance is a total shambles.
This will lull him into a sense of false security, and
then next week we can attack where the line is actually
badly defended. And win the greatest victory since the
Winchester flower-arranging team beat Harrow by twelve
sore bottoms to one!

Re: Russia inflates its military with blow-up weapons
well if one springs a leak it will be difficult to know where the rude noise is coming from, the blow up tanks or the scared soldiers.

I think i may have gone out with a russian female recruit from that army. She never said a word (so clue she didn't know english), wore red and I had to re-inflate her once.

Re: Russia inflates its military with blow-up weapons
Somehow I doubt these vehicles would evoke the same nationalist fervor as they parade through Red Square, even with the old "Soviet March" booming out from the Kremlin.
