Connection keeps dropping out

Hopefully someone can help. I called Virgin as my router they provided keeps dropping the connection when I download a file via wireless connection. I've changed the channel on the router from 6 to 1 to 11 and there is no difference. I've checked the issue of two other computers and still have the same problem, can anyone advise?

OS: Win 7
Router: D-link DL615

It could be nothing to do with the router, but the server you are downloading from. There used to be a program called Filezilla that could handle broken downloads and commence from where it last failed.

i had the same problem with my new netgear hub, there are problems with the new hubs. had mine changed to a dlink router and virgin modem, now working fine.
