VIP20 to VIP50

Hi, very quick question. My mum has got an engineer booked to look at her on-demand as she has been missing quite a few programs but I don't think they will sort it as I can't see the problem being the kit in house. Anyway when they are out do you think she could upgrage to VIP50 without the extra costs and if she did would she have to wait 12 months before she could upgrade to Tivo when its released? Many thanks Chris

Re: VIP20 to VIP50

Having an engineer looking at a fault and upgrading your bundle to VIP50 are two separate things.

You would have to order the upgrade and then establish if the engineer could investigate the fault and install the new modem at the same time.

PS What do you mean by 'without the extra costs'?

Re: VIP20 to VIP50

He is talking about installation and activation costs for 50Mb as he thinks an upsell will make it free.

techs should never be booked for missing On Demand programmes, these are either customer education (programme not carried) or a local network issue (missing from local headend)
