V+ sound problem

Hi guys new to here but found this place via google and wondered if anyone can help

When i insert my scart lead into the TV scart port i get picture but no sound and when i plug scart lead into VCR port i get picture sound and no menus is there anything i can do to fix this or do i need to call tech support and get no help there as usual ?

You seem to have a broken scart socket on the box, go to settings display and audio and make sure the box volume isnt set to zero
