BlackBerry Messenger

Just signed my sister up to a BlackBerry £10 deal for existing customers.
Looking through the tariffs, I noticed some included "BlackBerry Messenger".
Doesn't web access cover this? or are there extra charges to use the Messenger as that's what she's looking forward to using.

Re: BlackBerry Messenger

Unlimited web access doesn't cover the use of BlackBerry messenger I don't think as the phone has to be provisioned to use the Blackberry Internet Service which allows use of BBM so she would have to get one that said "BlackBerry Messenger". On my O2 bill it says "BlackBerry Unlimited" which costs £5, not sure about VM though

Re: BlackBerry Messenger

Ah thanks for clearing that up
It looks like it's included as it's not stated any charges (yet)

Re: BlackBerry Messenger

BBM is inclusive on pretty much any network that has inclusive blackberry Internet usage. When I was O2 they claimed that it was £5 per month but credited £5 every bill, other providers just dont charge for it which is great.

BBM is ace, like MSN but without the annoying bells and whistles! And it works!!

Re: BlackBerry Messenger

Thanks for your replies
And she showed me what it's like and I must say I'm impressed!
I guess this is why everyone is on a "blackberry-hype" as they say ;P
