The SD Premiums are going up, same as they do every year. The HD Bolt on is staying the same

Should be the other way around at the moment. Free install for VIP 50 but you have to pay for the activation of 50Mbit

Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package
Well just finished the call and she was adament that it was pay for install and activation is free. Wouldn't budge. Maybe they have just changed it, as this way VM will get a bit of extra cash.

Just spoke to someone in India and she is now saying my account is showing just the £20 activation fee. This was after about 20 minutes of explaining I wanted to know how much I was being charged to upgrade.

Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package
VIP50 Current Price Per Month £97.50 From 1st Oct £99.50
VIP20 Current Price Per Month £92.50 From 1st Oct £94.50
Although it’s a shame about the price increase but VM are dealing with Sky so we know what there like - don’t worry VM customers are not the only customers both BT and Sky themselves have increased by the same price.

Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package
Also VIP with Coming Soon Cisco TIVO Boxes.
Its my understanding that the new VIP package/s will be released along side the TIVO release.
Its not concrete yet so don’t quote me just yet - VM new/existing customers will not be required to fork out hundreds of pounds for the new TIVO box.
Any new/existing customers who wish to upgrade to the VIP packages will get the new TIVO box included in the VIP package with a activation fee of around £75 per box.
(For customers already on VIP packages I have no information on what may be charged, but just a slight hint - maybe drop packages before the TIVO is released and then upgrade to the new TIVO VIP packages - we may not be required to do this as the same activation fee may be applied to all customers.)
I'm in the same boat so as soon as more info comes available I will post but it does seem information is a bit sketchy at the moment.

The VIP 50 price is actually going down by £1 from it's current price AND absorbing the Sky Premiums increase. Adjustments are also being made so that ALL VIP 50 customers pay the same price

Seems not everyone in VM is on the same wave length - I'm getting told by retentions that the £2 increase will be added

Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package
Just got my VIP 50 "contract" through.
Installation of the VHD box is next Friday. Ok, quick question which I'm guessing has been asked a bazillion times before.
Are all the HD channels on that box except the SKY premium HD channels?
Thanks,

If you have ordered VIP50 then one of your boxes will receive all HD channels including the Sky Prem HD channels. i.e. normally VM load the Prem Sky HD channels to the V+HD box and if your 2nd box is the new VHD box then you get all HD channels except the Sky Prem.
Remember you can change this at anytime - its your choice which box you want the Sky Prem HD channels on.

I'm pretty sure BeMcr is spot on with the prices - as usual. I have a letter from VM confirming that the VIP50 package price is increasing, AND the discount is also increasing so the net effect is a £1 decrease in the bill. However when you also also take into account the eBilling discount of £1 is being removed, then teh overall effect is zero, assuming you had the eBilling discount before 1st October.
