Anyone know what the power consumption ON and in STANDBY for this box, can't find out on google

My old SMT-2100C used 15.2w in standby and 16.2w when turned on, hoping it uses less power, especially when in standby.

Hes right! anyone on VIP 50 is being given the Sky HD premium channels for nowt.

Just rang up to place an order for them and told I"m already in line for them from tommorow.

So if you're on VIP with 50mb broadband you automatically get the HD channels, that's pretty good!

Worth it for 2.5x faster broadband speed, the HD channels are just a bonus

apart from 50mb broadband..doh..

That's all it is really, the VIP package but with 50mb broadband instead of 20mb. Details of VIP here

The BBC has stated the channel should be on Air in the Autumn. Not sure when VM will launch it though.

I would say the Comedy Central HD story is true, as the channel listing on VM from Electric Magazine's August issue lists Comedy Central HD

They still have to pay Sky for every sub sold. This will be VM taking the hit on Sky HD, because you are paying more for your broadband product.
