When did they tell you that Andrew?

You will need to speak to Customer Relations if you want the Sky HD channels included, however this will tie you in to a new 12 month contract.

I am waiting for the HD to appear on my STB, they were ordered a couple of weeks ago (Paid for by dropping Broadband package)

I was told that the HD channels could be cancelled after a month, is that correct? I am just at the end of a 12 month contract (XL TV & SKy sports/Movies) and definately do not want to tie myself into Virgin again on any long term contract.

Yes you only need to take the sports/movies HD on a monthly basis so you could cancel after a month, with no 12 month tie(unless you negotiate a deal which of course comes with a 12 month contract)
