Picture Box TV - http://www.picturebox.tv/virgin £5 Per month, 28 Movies with 7 new movies added each week.

Does anyone subscribe to this and is it worth the £5 monthly fee?

Re: Picture Box - Value for Money Yes or No

Depends on your taste in films.
Keep checking the page to see the available films every couple of weeks, then decide.
It's basically down to the users taste in films as everyone loves something different

May be a good sweentener for VIP customers in light of the HD charge.

No had it for a few months but rarely watched it. It was always films like Jaws and Godfather that ye'd seen heaps of times

i personally don't think their film choice is worth the money. But everyone have different tastes.

i agree the film choice is crap, not worth £5.00 per month for the amount of times we watch it

Re: Picture Box - Value for Money Yes or No

the problem is that if you are on vip, the films have been on sky movies for a year, then film 4, then picture box. Such as 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall' and 'out of sight' which have been on sky recently.

If you don't have sky, then it is ok.

Re: Picture Box - Value for Money Yes or No

I get at least one HD film a week out of it... £1.25 a film at most.

Same with Sky Movies about 1 or 2 films per week, watched my first ever film4 movie last night (gangs of ny) and the advertising bugged the hell out of me so it'll be the last I watch that channel I think.

yes, PB is worth the fiver.

However if there weren't to be any adverts, then Film4 would have to become premium, or not broadcast at all.

Adverts half way through, quarter way through even but it felt like every five minutes. If they got the balance right they'd have more viewers and therefore more revenue per advert however adverts are a turn off when they totally disrupt viewing IMO.

Its got to be worth a fiver a month, even if you watch just two films a month its paid for itself.
